At Communicare, our Friendship Centres provide a warm, welcoming space where seniors aged 65 and over can connect, have fun, and feel a true sense of belonging.
Each week, members enjoy a variety of activities including games, crafts, gentle exercise, lively conversation, and a shared meal, all designed to foster joy, friendship, and community spirit. We currently operate 15 Friendship Centres across Auckland, and our sister organisation, North Shore CMA, runs an additional 7 centres on the North Shore, together creating a strong network of support and companionship for seniors |

A warm message from Communicare General Manager,
Mike Matthews Firstly, a summery welcome to 2026 and we all look forward to the time we will share together with our Communicare family at our Friendship Centres. To us its all about offering welcoming spaces for you, our members, to come together in friendship and seeing happy faces and smiles. It's about making a difference in your day - one person at a time - one day at a time - one experience at a time. As we get to travel our journey of life we learn much along the way - which rings true to the comment that with time comes greater experience, more knowledge and at times even wisdom. I remind my self of this as in 2026 I turn 60 (hopefully!), and I am realising that while I may have more knowledge and experience, increasingly the real trick is to trying to remember what I've learnt along the way! |
