The Total Mobility scheme is a national scheme which supports people who cannot use public transport to travel, all or some of the time. In Auckland, those who are eligible get a subsidised rate on contracted taxis for door to door transport, and an accessible concession loaded on a Total Mobility AT HOP card used to pay for discounted travel on public transport. Total Mobility customers receive a 75% discount off taxi fares, up to a maximum fare cap of $80 per trip. For trips over $80, Auckland Transport will only pay a maximum subsidy of $60 subsidy. Please note you may qualify for the Te Whatu Ora patient transport scheme. National Travel Assistance (info.health.nz) Steps to get a Total Mobility Card. Step 1 - Contact 096315968 or email [email protected] to book an Assessor for a Total Mobility Card. Step 2 - An Assessor will contact you or a confidential link for pre assessment will be emailed. Step 3 - Once assessed the Assessor will submit your application. You will be advised if you are eligible for a Total Mobility Card. Contact AT Centre Team on 09 355 3553 Total Mobility card renewal There is no longer a two-year renewal process for the Total Mobility Scheme in the Auckland region. Once you have been assessed you are eligible to use the Total Mobility Scheme for as long as you need to. Your Total Mobility card is yours and will remain active unless your mobility circumstance changes. If your Total Mobility card has an expiry date, it does not need replacing. New Total Mobility AT HOP cards are no longer issued with an expiry date. Lost cards Contact AT Centre Team on 09 355 3553 and tell them that your card is lost or stolen.
